Congratulations to Thommo and his team - 2008/09 3rd Grade Premiers!!
For those that didn't get a chance to get down to the game, Norths bowled first and saw ANU make 8/290 in more than 110 overs.
Carpy and Tommy Rowe took 2 each and the other wickets were shared around. Everyone trucked hard on a very flat track against some negative batting.
After ANU declared overnight, yesterday we saw some of the best Grand Final batting seen at KT Park.
Brock Winkler and Tom Rowe put on 50 for the first wicket, before Jase McNamara and Brock put on 150+ for the second.
Jase was out just after tea for 57 and Brock went on to make a fantastic 146.
Thommo and Liam kept the momentum going with 30-odds not out each to see us home by 7 wickets.
Well played to all the boys!!
As the end of another season approaches, it is time again to gather to celebrate the season gone.

Are you man enough to be a part of the action?

Movember has ended, with the mighty Northies raising a whopping $967.69!
For those not in the know about the Mo(vember), it's all about raising money and awareness for prostate cancer and male depression. Growing a big fat stinking mo is just a bonus. Congrats to the following Northies boys for doing their bit for Movember:

Chris "Cabbage" Tournier;
Allan "Not Small" Hall;
Steve "Clarrie" Grimmett;
Ryan "Shizzle" Bissell;
Sam "Rooooooons" Rooney;
Seb "Iceman" Blaszczyk;
Brendan "Closer B" Eichholzer;
Rowan "Well-uh" Thompson.
Special mention should be made for Google and Cabs as they personally raised $306 and $454 respectively.
Even though Movember is finished, you can still sponsor the team by clicking here.
